Michele Bonsignori with new partner???

Looking through the results from Blackpool i noticed that  Michele Bonsignori and Monica, from Italy were not dancing together anymore. And that Michele is now dancing with a lady from China, Katherine Cheng, reping China. (With quite a disapointing result at Blackpool). Is this a permament partnership, because Michele and Monica were one of my favourite couples in the Pro Standard?

She was dancing Pro/Am competitions with Roberto Villa for some time. I guess Michele was booked for Blackpool as he (and Monica) retired from competitions last year.

Katherine Cheng is one of the sponsors of the United Kingdom Champs at Bournemouth, she was a very successful Pro Am dancer and wanted the opportunity to realise a personal ambition of dancing at Blackpool in the open. She decided to turn professional to make this happen, and as Roberto was already entered in the event, she danced with Michelle.

Dancephotoman: that would be the most positive interpretation of that partnership.

Seems like everybody has their price...
